December e-newsletter being compiled

November 24, 2010

Today the December e-newsletter is being readied for publication. If you don’t get a copy,  contact us today at pastimeprojects@yahoo.com to get on the list. No pressure sales, no selling or trading of your information, opt out at any time, just sit back and enjoy the monthly thoughts of ours concerning things going on at Pastime Projects.  Today also we published a short ‘You Tube’ video clip of our 6V6 transmitter and power supply and one of our ‘poker chip’  keys operating.  Also includes a few of the regenerative receivers sound bites.

We sincerely hope that there is a lot in your life to be thankful for this year.  All you have to do is look around you to see that  there are those in need on all sides.  Please reach out to someone this season. It may be the most important thing you ever do, when all is said and done.. Happy Thanksgiving! Glenn NN8G

Radio earrings! Great Gifts?

November 8, 2010

We traveled to Georgetown, Ohio Saturday. That is a three-hour trip from our central Ohio home. We carried our radio kits, both assembled for show and tell, and boxed up for sale. Wife Sue carried her display case of earrings and pins made of radio parts.  This was our first appearance in Georgetown. She was the hit of the show! Both the men and women were most impressed and surprised at the originality, quality, and value of Sue’s home-made jewelry. She outsold the radio sales by a large margin!  You can order from www.pastimeprojects.com and click on the radiojewelry page. Order as many as you want. Mix or Match.  Your choices may not match the photo exactly, but you will be happy! Guaranteed. The postage calculation may come up higher than actual postage, but we will refund the difference with the package.  Contact us any time for questions, special orders and so on.  We are always here to help.  email pastimeprojects@yahoo.com.  73  Glenn

The new audio amplifer kit uses an IC chip to amplify small high impedance signals such as found in your regenerative receiver, crystal set, or most anywhere you have an earphone output.  It retains the vintage oak chassis and plated brass screws ,  but includes a simple small printed circuit board with a handfull of components. Top it off with a new front panel with a built in speaker, and we know this will look great in your hobby room. Look for more new products to follow!  The new e-newsletter has been sent to our newsletter list. Not on the list?  Just let us know!  73 Glenn  pastimeprojects@yahoo.com.
